Every team gives a short talk on its result. The audience is the other teams and invited guests, and the standard is the one the course has used all along: the question in one sentence, the number with its interval, the control on the plot, and what would have falsified it. A careful negative result presented well is a success, and at least one team usually has one.
The session ends with each team naming where the write-up goes next and when. A workshop deadline, a blog post with a date, or a preprint. The course continues as an asynchronous writing tail for teams that commit to a venue.
What you will do
- Give a ten-minute talk with the figure from week six and the claims from week seven.
- Take questions from the room and record the ones you could not answer.
- Choose a venue and a date for the write-up.
What you leave with
- A talk you have given once and can give again.
- A commitment: venue, date, and the list of what the draft still needs.
Materials
Notebooks and slides are released to each cohort at the start of the session.
